Looking for an Enneagram personality test or a deeper personality assessment? The Five Lens Enneagram assessment goes beyond simply identifying your Enneagram type. As a qualified Five Lens Practitioner, Elaine Celliers guides you through a Five Lens Enneagram assessment and personalised feedback process designed to help you understand your patterns, motivations, emotional responses, relationships and ways of engaging with the world. Your assessment is followed by three 90-minute one-on-one sessions where we explore your results together and turn the insight into something practical for your life.
What is a Five Lens Enneagram Assessment?
The Enneagram is a personality framework that explores nine different patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. A Five Lens Enneagram assessment takes this exploration further by looking at your Enneagram pattern alongside other dimensions of your personality and experience. Rather than simply giving you a personality type, the assessment provides a more detailed picture of how you operate, what drives you, how you respond emotionally, how you relate to others and where you may have opportunities for greater awareness and choice.
The Five Lenses
The Five Lens assessment looks at you from five different perspectives. Rather than reducing your personality to a single type, it creates a broader picture of how you understand yourself, respond to life, relate to others, handle pressure and make sense of the world. Each lens adds something different, and together they help reveal patterns that can be difficult to see from the inside.
1. Personal Mastery — How well do you know yourself?
Personal Mastery explores your capacity for self-awareness, personal responsibility and intentional growth. It looks at how you understand yourself, how you respond to your experiences and whether you are able to pause, reflect and choose your response rather than simply react. The aim is not to judge where you are, but to understand your current patterns and identify opportunities for growth.
2. Emotional Resilience — What happens when life gets difficult?
Emotional Resilience explores how you respond when you experience pressure, uncertainty, challenge or adversity. It helps illuminate your capacity to adapt, recover and remain effective when things don’t go according to plan. Understanding your resilience can help you recognise both the resources you already have and the places where stress may be influencing how you think, feel and behave.
3. Social Drives — What is really motivating you?
Social Drives explores the underlying needs and motivations that influence where you put your attention and energy. It can help you understand what you are seeking, what matters to you, what may be driving your behaviour and what you may be overlooking. This lens can be particularly revealing when you find yourself repeatedly pursuing something without quite understanding why.
4. Energy Centres — How do you process and respond?
Energy Centres explores the three ways of knowing available to us through the head, heart and gut. It looks at the balance between thinking, feeling and instinct and how you tend to draw on these different forms of intelligence when making decisions or responding to situations. This can reveal where you naturally rely on one centre and where another may be underused.
5. Enneagram — What patterns keep showing up?
The Enneagram brings the five lenses together by exploring the patterns that shape how you tend to think, feel and behave. Rather than simply asking “What type am I?”, the Five Lens approach looks at the patterns across the nine Enneagram styles, including the motivations, triggers, strengths and defensive patterns that may influence how you respond in different circumstances. The result is not simply a label, but a richer picture of the patterns you may have been living from, often without consciously choosing them.
The value of the Five Lens assessment
The value of the Five Lens assessment isn’t simply discovering your Enneagram type. It is seeing the patterns that sit around your type — what drives you, how you respond under pressure, how you relate to others, how you process experience and where you have room to grow.
What Happens After You Take the Assessment?
Your assessment is not a result that is simply emailed to you and left for you to interpret on your own. The assessment is the beginning of a deeper conversation about you.
Once you have completed the Five Lens Enneagram assessment, I work with you through three 90-minute one-on-one feedback sessions. Together, we explore your Personal Feedback Report and unpack what the different lenses reveal about your patterns, motivations, emotional responses, relationships and ways of engaging with the world.
Each session gives us an opportunity to slow down and look beyond the obvious. We explore what resonates, what challenges you, and where you may recognise patterns that have been influencing your choices and relationships for years.
The aim isn’t to put you into a box or tell you who you are. It is to give you a language for understanding yourself more deeply and to help you recognise where you have choice.
Your Three Feedback Sessions
Session 1 — Understanding Your Personal Feedback Report
We begin by exploring your assessment results and the patterns that emerge across the five lenses. Together, we unpack what your Personal Feedback Report reveals about the way you experience yourself, relate to others, respond emotionally and navigate the world.
Session 2 — Exploring Your Patterns
We go deeper into the patterns revealed through the assessment. We explore your motivations, behaviours, emotional responses and the ways these patterns may show up in your relationships, work, decision-making and everyday life. The aim is to develop a deeper awareness of what happens within you, particularly in situations where you may tend to respond automatically.
Session 3 — From Awareness to Integration
This is where awareness becomes something you can actually use.
We explore lower and higher levels of integration and what it means to recognise your patterns while you are living them. You may begin to notice, for example, that something has triggered you before you automatically act on the response. That moment of awareness creates space: you can stop, breathe, notice what is happening and choose how you want to respond.
The goal isn’t to eliminate your patterns or pretend that you will never be triggered. It is to develop enough awareness to recognise what is happening sooner, creating greater freedom and moving towards higher levels of integration, choice and intentional response.
Who Is a Five Lens Enneagram Assessment For?
A Five Lens Enneagram assessment can be useful if you want to understand yourself more deeply, recognise patterns that keep repeating, or develop greater awareness of how you respond to the people and situations around you.
It may be particularly valuable if you are:
• curious about your personality and want to understand more than a simple personality type
• experiencing recurring patterns in your relationships or work
• trying to understand why certain situations trigger strong reactions
• wanting to develop greater emotional awareness and resilience
• navigating a period of personal or professional change
• interested in personal growth and developing greater choice in how you respond to life
You don’t need to arrive with a problem that needs fixing. Sometimes the most valuable reason to explore yourself is simply the desire to understand yourself better.
Your Five Lens Practitioner
I am Elaine Celliers, a qualified Five Lens Practitioner and life and resilience coach based in Pretoria, South Africa.
I use the Five Lens Enneagram framework as a starting point for deeper exploration, reflection and conversation.
The assessment gives us a map. The coaching sessions give us the opportunity to explore that map together, noticing the patterns, motivations and responses that may otherwise remain outside your awareness.
My role is not to tell you what your results mean. It is to help you explore them, question them, recognise yourself in them where appropriate, and discover what becomes possible when you have greater awareness and choice,
Ready to Understand Yourself Differently?
